The Happiness Project :: We meet!

So on Saturday I made a trek into Atlanta

to attend Suzanne Palmieri's book signing.

It was amazing!

First of all, we all know that

I'm a huge fan of her books.

Secondly, I saw her in the parking lot

beforehand walking in the rain

and shared my umbrella with her

and had this kismet moment

when she offered to help me with my novel!

Squee!!!!!!

Trying not to act like a crazy fangirl.

Trying to keep my cool

but SQUEE!!!!

Third, she gave the most

encouraging talk about getting published.

I was so grateful to her

for being so open and lovely.

Finally, she wrote the

sweetest thing above her signature.

I mean, really.

This is like a dream come true!

Good things are happening.

The Happiness Project :: My happy boy

So, Griffin had tubes put in his ears last week.

This meant he had to put under and I was a nervous wreck.

This is his 3rd round of tubes and both times before

he woke up super angry from the anesthesia.

He was like The Hulk. Seriously.

Well, my little angel woke up calm and smiling.

The procedure went great and he already on the mend.

My heart was so relieved that he woke up happy.

We celebrated the holiday with my parents.

The Happiness Project :: A quiet moment

I have to be honest with y'all.

I had to really search for happiness over the last week.

Poor Griffin has a horrible cough that's

been keeping us up for hours every night.

I am so exhausted.

So, my mom took pity on me

and watched the boys one afternoon

so I could rest.

I curled up in my bed with a great book.

If you're looking for an amazing summer read

you must get your hands on Suzanne Palmieri's latest book

The Witch of Belladonna Bay.

I just love the magic and wonder in this story.

It was the perfect escape

from my crazy little life.
