The assignment over at You Capture was Flowers.
We have the cutest little bush of Perennials in our front yard.
I just love the way that they look like little bouquets for fairies.
I also adore the fact that they are so hardy.
I pretty much ignore them and every year they pop back up.
The thing that I love the most about these tiny flowers
is that they are local and first discovered in a lady's garden here in my town.
So, they are named after her and they have the sweetest most southern sounding name ever...

So beautiful! Every time I see your captures I want a new fancy camera.
I love Lantana! Miss Huff must have been so proud to have this beauty discovered in her garden.
p.s. I love the name "Miss Huff" so much I'm tempted to ask my grandchildren to call me that. I'm always trying to think of cool grandmother names for when that time arrives.
Ok I want that flower lol.. seriously.. I need to learn more about this You capture thing.. I need to get back into my picture taking. OH OH OH did I tell you my son took up photography in school this year and LOVES it.. OF course he has me and his daddy who did photography in high school in his genetic code lol
What a great name for a beautiful flower.

Wow ! I love the color. They seem to have three colors in them.
What a beautiful flower and a great name too :-)
What beautiful colours!
Lantana is one of my all time favorite flavors. Did you know if you rub your fingers along the petals and smell your fingers that it smells like fruit punch? I can assure you that if you rub your fingers somewhere else and smell them that the likelihood of smelling fruit punch is very limited. Give it a whirl.
Just beautiful. Dainty and sweet.
=)
PS. I'd love to smell one.
yes snuggle, fancy cameras are the life's blood. do what you gots to do to get one girl. great picture leigh. and i love the name too.
I've never seen this flower before. Absolutely beautiful!
BEAUTIFUL!! I love the colors... and the name is the best part!!
So cute and I love the colors :D Love the shot!
I had never seen or heard of these flowers before this You Capture - and now I've seen them twice. I have to get some of these - especially now that I've heard you say they are hardy! I love them (and your photo is great too!)!
I adore the idea of them being "Fairy" bouquets! Lantana is wonderful...
Oh wow that almost looks fake.
Flowers are some of my favorite captures. Often because the micro focus will reveal tiny treasures the eye wouldn't ordinarily be able to see. Nature has such beautiful colors and you captured these fantastically! OF COURSE!
what a neat story!
I photographed and wrote about sunflowers for YouCapture, but here in Ohio, they were dying...as are all the flowers. Still had fun though...interesting how they turned out.
