The movie: Roman Holiday

A bored and sheltered princess escapes her guardians
and falls in love with an American newsman in Rome.

We had never seen this movie and I was thrilled to watch it.
Audrey is so charming and Gregory Peck is quite the leading man.
About half way through the film, I looked over at Roger
and said "I'm so glad that you can watch movies like this without being miserable."
After a brief pause I asked him
"You aren't miserable, are you?"
He grinned coyly and took a sip of his libation.

Oh I LOVE a Roman Holiday!!! I am a huge silverscreen fan (one of my childhood favorites although not a childhood movie was Duck Soup by the Marx Brothers, for example). Yes, I am a nerd. :)

Perfect menu. Perfect movie. Y'all are awesome. xo

Oh! Roman Holiday!!! Well, if you ever discover your husband is, in fact, miserable during such movies, I'll gladly be a stand-by fill-in for date nights. ;)
