10 Day Challenge to Support Water.org : Day 1

The Mission List is dedicated to helping women
use their online influence for social good.

Over the next 10 days, I will be teaming up with Water.org
and a whole team of fellow bloggers
to raise $2,500 -- enough money to bring clean,
safe drinking water to 100 people for life.

Did you know that 780 million people
lack access to an improved water source;
approximately one in nine people.

For the next 10 days I will be showing gratitude
for my family's easy access to water
and sharing with you the moments that
we can easily take for granted.

Day 1

Untitled-8

When my children come home from school,
the first thing that they do is
sit down with a tall glass of water,
an after school snack,
and watch Woody Woodpecker cartoons.

This simple pleasure is a gift
that is not granted to those 780 million people.

The average person (usually women and children)
walks on average 3.7 miles for water.

I can't help but think of those children
while mine sit and relax with
their cool drink of water!

Listen up...

It’s 2012, and yet more people have a cell phone than a toilet.
These facts take a moment to settle in and can
make people feel powerless against a problem so big.
Yet, there is something we can all do to help.
Alongside the non-profit, Water.org,
I am joining others who are working to end this crisis in our lifetime.

Only $25 brings one person water for life and for the next ten days
I will be trying to raise enough money to help change the lives of ten people.
I’d love for you to join me.

Here's how to help...

Together we can make a difference.

Thank you, Leigh. YOU are amazing. I loved this to pieces. And just think we've already raised 230 in less than 4 hours.

Love to you, friend.
