The Mission List is dedicated to helping women
use their online influence for social good.
Over the next 10 days, I will be teaming up with Water.org
and a whole team of fellow bloggers
to raise $2,500 -- enough money to bring clean,
safe drinking water to 100 people for life.
For the next 10 days I will be showing gratitude
for my family's easy access to water
and sharing with you the moments that
we can easily take for granted.
Day 8
Even though I complain about having to wash my dishes,
I am so thankful that I have clean water
that flows freely into my sink.
To think that the simple act of
raising the handle on a faucet
and watching water run over dirty dishes
would be a huge indulgence
for the people of Haiti.
I am so grateful.
Especially when I know the facts
about the reality of the water crisis
happening in Haiti.
Only $25 brings one person water for life and
I am trying to raise enough money
to help change the lives of ten people.
I’d love for you to join me.

I remember a situation in which my water was not available for about 3 days due to bad weather and some master pump complication when I lived in Texas. IT was simply dreadful not to have running water in my house. My dishes stacked up and we ended up eating out for a while.
Thank you for your efforts to provide clean water to people in need!
We should never take it for granted.
=)
