28 Days of Happiness :: 4

$25 kitchen cuts

I did hair for 5 years at a really great salon in Atlanta before becoming a Mama. Now retired from the biz, I sometimes will cut a friend's hair in my kitchen for $25. My dad scored that awesome retro chair for me at the flea market. I love to have people sit in my old chair (that is so wobbly that I have to put Dr. Suess books beneath the legs to keep it stable) and let me play with their hair.

It allows me to flex my brain
and gives me a little extra cash.
It makes me oh so happy.

ha- my friend cuts my hair in her basement bc she's a teacher at the beauty school in town, so she does her friends & familys hair at home. It's so convienient.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that chair. And that you do something that you enjoy, even if it is atop Dr. Seuss.

Oh wait - that didn't sound right at all!

I haven't seen one of those chairs in a long time. Brings back memories of when I actually had hair.

Leigh, if I lived close, I would totally come over and let you cut my hair. It is such a ridiculous mess.
