Why I let my kid eat ice cream for dinner

We are in the hospital with koen. Yesterday his ear swelled up and looked like a cauliflower so he is hooked up to an iv to get some antibiotics. We are hanging there and might be released tomorrow. Koen is doing better but is a little weary of nurses, unless they blow bubbles, then he loves them.

Say a prayer for us, I cannot eat hospital food for much longer. Plus, I look like a homeless person and I smell like a barn.

The happiness project will be on Thursday this week bur will return to our regularly sceduled program next tuesady.

Good luck and hopes for a speedy recovery... sounds like a good enough reason to eat ice cream for dinner.

And really, any reason is a good reason to have ice cream for dinner!

I feel you on the hospital thing. Colin has been hospitalized twice this year, and I just can't wait to get out of there! I hope Koen is feeling better soon and that you guys get home.

Oh, mama...that dry hospital air (pack handcream, bottled water, and lip balm!)...and snacks, and deo...spent 2 weeks in hospital with our youngest last year for heart surgery. Nurses barging in to check sleeping baby (thus waking her up), fluorescent lights, clanging noises...blah!
You have my prayers! Glad to hear he's on the mend.

Oh you poor souls, I do hope Koen gets better quickly and that you all return home safe and sound. I know how awful it is I remember only too well Dexter being in hospital a couple of years ago so clearly and it is not nice at all so I will say a little word for you all.
