The beauty that can be found in nature inspires me.
I often find myself daydreaming as I look at the trees in the fall.
I've always respected the trees for letting the leaves go.
Sometimes, I imagine that the trees
and the leaves are having a heartfelt goodbye.
That the two grow desperate when the leaf starts to change colors
because they know that they are about to have to separate.
I like to imagine that the brightest leaves
are the ones that are madly in love
with the branches that they hang from.
That the two sway in the wind and cherish every moment
before the leaf slips out of grasp from the tree.
I drive down the road and admire
all of the heartbroken leaves.

Fall becomes terribly romantic if you look at it that way.

a "heartfelt goodbye" is such a pretty way of looking at it..
I think that is just about the most beautiful thing I've ever read. If it's okay with you I'd like to print it out and possibly frame it in a little leaf frame that I have. Would that be ok? Please, please?
Once again you put your twist on something we often overlook and give us a whole new perspective on it..
That was beautiful, both the essay and the picture!
Romantic, indeed!
I love Japanese Maples. They are always breathtaking and this one is especially so.
This post reads like poetry! Lovely poetry, I might add. And the last line is perfect. Just perfect.
I will never see falling leaves quite the same way again!
=)
PS. I'd love to print off a copy of this to keep. Would that be okay? If so, could you send me your full name so that I could credit it properly?
WOW! Love the colors, the picture is so beautiful!
Gorgeous! There are still a few trees around here with shockingly bright leaves. They always stop me in my tracks. Great capture!
Wonderful inspiration! Great shot,I love how the blue pulls you further into the shot!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The reflection and the photo. Our leaves don't change here. They just die. I love seeing photos like this, to actually SEE Fall. Lovely. Great capture. :-)
I love acers, they are just so beautiful in their rich red colour.
The vibrant color of those leaves is amazing.
Those leaves can't be real. That color is scrumptious!
That's pretty! I have one of those trees in my garden, but the leaves all fell off ages ago.
Pretty, pretty, pretty!! Lovin' that red!
That is very romantic.
