Snow Watch 2011!!

So, the weatherman is predicting ice and snow.
Which in Georgia means that everyone is losing their minds.
Including me.
The grocery store is a nightmare.
Everyone makes a run for bread and eggs.
Including me.

Once upon a time in the great ice storm of 2005,
Griffin was a mere 5 weeks old
when we became iced into our home.
The power went out and it was so cold
that we considered burning our furniture in the fireplace.
It was pretty scary.
We survived but we learned our lesson.
Our neighborhood is so hilly
that it's impossible to get out in the ice.

So now, whenever the forecast calls for ice and snow,
we pack up the family and head over to my parents' house.
Where a gas fireplace makes us warm and toasty.
Where we all huddle up and enjoy family time.
It's super fun.

So, if things are quiet around here for a bit it's
because the power went out.
We'll get back to our regularly scheduled programming
once this snow madness ends.
Stay warm folks!

I hope you keep all that snow in GA! I've had enough of winter already.

It would be scary to be stuck without power. My furnace ignition went out 2 weeks ago and I was scared that the repairman wouldn't be able to get out.

Before I had a full time job and all, I loved snow days when we were trapped at home and there were no expectations to go anywhere or do anything. Hopefully the storm isn't too bad (being without power is terrible.)

Yes! We finally got snow last night, and it's still coming down! I'm not fond of snow myself, but Big Daddy pushes snow in the winter months and has had absolutely no work. Soooo, we are very excited to say the least! I can't wait to get outside with my camera!
Keep warm! =)

They're calling for snow here in Louisville, KY starting tonight going into Wednesday. I am SSOO sick of snow. Can anyone say SPRING?!

Hope you enjoy your family time though.

Ohhhh! Your ice/snow storm sounds like a cozy time! It's supposed to be in the 20's for us tomorrow...which is hella cold for South Louisiana!

Stay warm honey!

We are getting snowed on today too here in KC....so far looks like about 4 inches. The girls and I are still in pajamas and I'm putting on a pot of chili. Hope you are warm & cozy!

My friend Nellie and her WX Woman Sister at CNN were keeping me posted on FB. Her boss wanted her to work from home...which I find funny as she is in social services, but whatever.

I hope the power doesn't go out...or maybe I should so you can go and have a fun time at your parents' house. ;)

We don't have the ice we just have the snow. I don't know what I'd do if i couldn't get out. That would be my worst nightmare.
