The Stay at Home Mom Chronicles :: Filthy Little Boys

I'm realizing that my days around here seem to run together.
Ordinary moments unfold around me daily
and I need to stop and relish in them.
One day, my boys will be out living life
and I will miss these everyday experiences.

So, I am taking the time to document
the simple moments that pass between us.
I'm calling this little collection of memories...

<span class=

Chasing after filthy little boys...

My life is full of all the nasty little
things that little boys are into.

Photobucket

Like grubby fingers balancing
a new best friend.

Photobucket

Tonka trucks parked atop mounds of red Georgia clay.

Photobucket

Dust covered little legs and socks.

Photobucket

A tortured bathmat covered in mud.

I will forever cherish
the memories
of my dirty little boys playing outside.

Yes, cherish these "filthy little boys" moments! By doing so you are making good memories for you and the boys. An added bonus, you're letting them be kids!!!
Enjoyed the post today, Leigh.

H yes, and I went to Athens Patch to read about your Top Ten Things to Do Before School Starts. What a great, creative list! I especially like suggestion Number 1 on the countdown! A pitcher of cool celebration. What could be better? :-)

When all my kids were little, baths were MANDITORY every summer night. We played outside SO much and that time has become their most precious memories. They don't always remember the things you do that cost money, they remember ordinary moments like these. Way to go, Mom, letting the boys be boys!

I'm already seeing a difference with Oliver and the girls in terms of liking to be dirty. As if there is a magnet attached to dirty things and my boy. I am getting it now! :)

I love how your photography can spot the beautiful things in life even on a dirty bathmat, like the little red toy. You have a great eye.

I think we have 4 weeks left of summer here (geesh, I am not even in the official countdown, or more likely we have buried our heads in the sand to the possiblity of summer ending!) These are much better ideas than the pure denial route I was planning to take!

Dirty boy and messy girl here!
