Look at what I stumbled upon...

I just love those organic moments in my day
when I am shuffling around doing this or that
and the children are playing on their own.

I find myself grabbing my camera to
capture them using their
imaginations and creativity.

I want to remember the sweet independent play
that I stumble upon,
to me it's such a privilege to see
their little minds at work.

As I cleaned the kitchen the other day,
Koen became very busy
moving his little chair into the hallway.

He shuffled past me using all his strength
to scoot himself and the chair on by.

I knew that he had a plan.

A few moments went by and
when I peeked into the hallway
I stumble upon him
pretending to paint the shadows on the wall.

I thought that it was a 2 year old stroke of genius.

What a darling moment. And at least he was thoughtful enough to only pretend to paint on the wall.

Isn't it amazing how busy their little (but growing!) brains are? Great picture.

I love how their minds work (erm, when they're not making me nuts)! I've gotta capture more of those moments.
