Moms Talk : By the Book?

My weekly column is up over at Athens Patch.
I'd love to have you join in the conversation over there.
Here is a little taste of what's going on over there today...

The darkness seemed to close in as I tried to "sleep train" my baby. The midnight hour made me feel isolated, and sometimes I sobbed in exhaustion right along with my crying son. I remember asking myself, "Why is this not working?" as I attempted to let my infant "cry it out."

The parenting books made it sound so easy, yet there I stood outside the nursery door and listened to my baby scream. My confidence shattered as I opened the bedroom door and tossed aside the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. I resigned myself to the fact that I would rock my baby to sleep yet another night and felt like a failure...please click here to read the rest.

I am one who let mine cry because I needed to sleep at night. It was the common practice when my kids were small.
