52 Weeks of Happinees :: Week 11

DSC_0282

We went to a dear friend's 2nd birthday over the weekend.
They had the sweetest little petting zoo set up.
Koen was tentative at first and cautiously reached out
to various baby animals.

It was really touching to watch his curiosity unfold.

He edged his way into the pen
and watched as the baby animals
waddled, scooted, clucked, and lounged before him.

He became more and more comfortable
and made fast friends with the bunnies.

Happiness is spending time with
squealing children,
a soft lamb,
fuzzy baby chicks,
a silly white duck,
and a little bitty wagging pig tail.

It was cute overload, for sure.

Luke had a little petting zoo at his school on the last day. I was so surprised to see him holding a tiny bunny!

What a fun birthday party...and I love the pics!

So glad your little guy had the opportunity to enjoy those baby animals and to to find the little amount of courage it took to offer loving petting for those babies!
So cute.

Sweet photos. I remember taking my kids to the petting zoo when they were little, and they couldn't get enough of it. But now they've outgrown it and moved on to other things...like boys. I miss the old times.

OH my kids loved petting zoos actually they still do. They were as excited as the little ones when we went to the one at Christmas.

What a wonderful place to be. It looks so much nicer (and cleaner) than the petting zoos you visit commercially.
