No, I don't.

And there IS no value to empty praise. This is one of my pet peeves.

Only the real stuff grows self esteem.

NO I DON'T. I teach my six kids what real life is all about.

If you study, you're more likely to get good grades.

If you work hard, you're more likely to keep your job.

In real life, there are never rewards just for showing up. Except in gambling and lottery, rewards are given to those who work hard to achieve and exceed their goals.
