Griffin had one very important goal for his summer.
He wanted to do a cannonball into the deep end of the pool.
Of course, he could barely swim.
After swimming lessons and
a lot coaching from mama and daddy,
he built up all of his nerve...

he built up all of his nerve...
and jumped right in!
You should have heard us cheer
when he hit the water and then popped back up.
It's one big step toward
his growing independence.

That IS a HUGE victory!!! A big, fun, awesome splashy victory!!! Go Griffin!
Great job with the pics! Oh and great job for Griffin -- that first time can be scary!!
A splashy victory indeed! Love the photos of all that courage and triumph!! This encourages me to set and meet a couple of goals for myself!
Hooray for him. I love the pics and I know your heart was pounding momma. Mine did when mine decided they were grown enough for the deep end...
I love the underwater picture! That's so awesome and such a big swimming step. My heart would be stopping each time he hit the water, but the pride would surely restart it!
