The Happiness Project :: Week 23

Photobucket

Buying school supplies.
When I was a little girl
I used to get so excited about buying school supplies.
The anticipation of a new school year
always thrilled me as I filled up my school box
with pencils, scissors, and erasers.
I still feel that same thrill when I
buy Griffin his school supplies.
I hope that I never lose it.

I remember the back to school supplies days! I loved filling my backpack up with all kinds of cool pencils and fun-shaped erasers. :)

School supplies rule! I could have easily put up the same exact photo as we ransacked Walmart early last week for their sale! :) Awesome!

I love buying back to school supplies and clothes. It is still fun.

My 1st starts Kindergarten next week. I have to say, buying supplies was a total let down. Everything goes into a shared pool. It was no fun buying all that generic stuff. It made me so sad for him & all the other kids. But we'll have fun picking out backpacks & lunchboxes this week.

Yay! We just bought the boys new backpacks and lunch bags for this year. We order the supplies through the school, so they get them at meet the teacher night. But boy I also love doing back to school shopping! Can't wait to go this weekend and get some back to school clothes for the boys!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE school supplies. I'll even buy me some when shopping for my older 2 boys. But this year I get to really buy supplies--I have a new pre-kindergartener!

I love school supplies. It's my favorite part of August!

August is the time when I really push my kids imagination. We installed a fairy door at a local park and then left secret messages. The fairies replied and the joy and wonder in the kids faces was more than words can describe.

I always felt exactly the same way about the shopping trip for school supplies. Excited!

Oh my Honk! next time I'm going to have to check the other links before posting. Jocelyn already posted about the Fairy Door. Sorry for the repeat.

Buying school supplies makes me sad. Thinking about school starting and summer ending and my kids getting older, it's all I can do to hold it together in the paper aisle.

The school supply aisle is the most wonderful aisle in the store. I loved it when I was a kid and I still love it now!
