I'm thankful that we learn how to "let go" of our kids a little at a time and not all at once. You know, how after they learn to take their first faltering steps they are suddenly running all over the house and before you know it, out the door to school, etc., etc. Children (and grandchildren) teach life lessons just by being who they are! Great article, BTW.
My name is Leigh and this blog follows my misadventures as a stay at home mom. Read as I juggle housework, motherhood, creativity, and delusions of grandeur. I am inept throwback to the 1950′s housewife, so this blog gives a modern twist to a retro lifestyle. With a focus on the drama and joys of everyday life, sometimes heartfelt but usually hilarious observations unfold. All the while my ignored laundry pile grows by leaps and bounds.

Great article, Leigh. If you get a moment, drop by my blog and read this year's Christmas story poem. I put it up a little earlier this year.
=)
I'm heading over to read it right now!
